Glendale School of Security

Founded in 2006 by Charles Barlow, Glendale School of Security was created with one mission: provide real-world, affordable training that helps veterans and civilians build strong, successful careers in the security and investigative fields.

Charles brings more than 30 years of experience as a U.S. Army Drill Sergeant, retired Law Enforcement Officer, and Professor of Criminal Justice. His leadership ensures that every student receives training grounded in professionalism, discipline, and real on-the-job experience.

At Glendale School of Security and Investigative Services (GSSIS), our mission is to deliver the highest-quality private security and investigative training in California—at the most affordable cost. We proudly serve students from all backgrounds and honor our nation’s Veterans by providing free training programs and dedicated support as they transition into civilian careers.

Since 2006, GSSIS has trained many students and Veterans, helping them build careers, earn certifications, and secure meaningful employment throughout Southern California. Our reputation is built on excellence, professionalism, and service.
